We created an enhanced structural version of the fragrance structure system for “Sensing Space” exhibition in London in 2014.  In order to fit narrow and high ceiling exhibition room, we bended 4mm thickness bamboo sticks by heat gun and created slim units with pretension. The units were connected on the spot and the extremely thin bamboo pavilion reached 7meter in height since their pretension due to bamboo elasticity is equilibrated to the gravity. “Tatami mat” smell was imbued to the bamboo and the column shaped pavilion reminds us Japanese tea ceremony room.
